A real relationship. Honest conversations. Clear action.A coach in your corner.
Meet Sharif.
I’m Sharif Colbert, founder of LifeCoachATL and a certified life coach.
But credentials aren’t really the reason people work with me.
They work with me because they need someone who will listen.
Really listen.
Someone who can help them see the pattern they’ve been standing too close to recognize.
Someone who will encourage them, challenge them, celebrate with them and, when necessary, ask:
“You said this mattered. So what are we going to do about it?”
That’s coaching to me.
A real relationship. Honest conversations. Clear action. And somebody in your corner who genuinely wants to see you win.
I Don’t Believe You Need Fixing.
I believe there may be more in you than you’re currently accessing.
Most of the people I coach aren’t incapable.
Quite the opposite.
They’re smart. Talented. Caring. Successful in plenty of areas of their lives.
But something isn’t clicking.
They’re overthinking.
Second-guessing themselves.
Starting and stopping.
Avoiding a conversation.
Struggling with a relationship.
Trying to figure out what’s next.
Or knowing exactly what they need to do—and still not doing it.
That’s where I come in.
My job isn’t to run your life.
My job is to help you see what’s getting in your way—and build the confidence and accountability to move past it.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
First, I’m going to listen.
Not while waiting for my turn to talk.
Not while deciding what advice I’m going to give you.
I’m going to understand what life looks like from where you’re standing.
Because your goals only make sense when we understand you.
Then we’re going to get honest.
Sometimes the thing standing between you and what you want isn’t a lack of information.
It’s a belief.
A fear.
A pattern.
An excuse that’s gotten really good at sounding reasonable.
Or a promise to yourself that keeps getting renegotiated.
I’m not here to judge any of that.
But I am here to help you see it.
Because it’s hard to change something you haven’t named yet.
Then we do something about it.
I love a good breakthrough.
But an aha moment isn’t the finish line.
What are you going to do differently?
When are you going to do it?
And what tends to happen when things get uncomfortable?
We take what happens in the conversation and bring it into your actual life.
Even on an ordinary Tuesday when nobody’s watching.
Why Confidence?
Because confidence touches almost everything.
The decisions you make. The conversations you avoid. The boundaries you set. The goals you follow through on.
And sometimes the future you’re willing to imagine for yourself.
But I don’t think confidence comes from standing in front of a mirror telling yourself you’re amazing.
Confidence is built through evidence.
You make a decision.
You take the step.
You keep a promise to yourself.
Then you do it again.
That’s how self-trust starts growing.
This Work Is Personal to Me.
I didn’t become a coach because I figured out the secret to a perfect life.
I’ve had to do my own work too—my beliefs, my reactions, my relationships and the ways I was showing up in my own life.
I’ve had people I love tell me things about myself that weren’t easy to hear, and I’ve had to decide what I wanted to do with that.
Some of the most important growth in my life came when I stopped defending who I had been and started thinking intentionally about who I wanted to become.
That changed the way I showed up.
As a father.
As a partner.
As a person.
And eventually, as a coach.
That’s one reason this work means so much to me.
There Is No “Sharif Formula.”
And that’s intentional.
I’ve worked with people in very different seasons of life.
Professionals.
Parents.
Fathers.
Young adults.
People building careers.
People rebuilding relationships.
People starting over.
People doing well on paper who quietly knew they wanted more.
The person in front of me changes.
So the coaching has to change too.
I’m not interested in squeezing your life into somebody else’s ten-step system.
We’re going to figure out what works for you.
Your goals.
Your personality.
Your challenges.
Your strengths.
Your definition of a life you’re proud to live.
What I Will Bring
- Presence.
- When we’re talking, I’m there.
- Perspective.
- Sometimes another set of eyes can see what you can’t see from inside the situation.
- Honesty.
- I’ll support you. I’ll also challenge you.
- Action.
- We won’t spend nine sessions admiring the problem.
- Accountability.
- If you tell me something matters, I’m going to remember.
- Belief.
- Sometimes I’ll see what’s possible for you before you fully see it yourself.
But eventually?
I want you to see it too.
I’m Still Not the One Taking the Shot.
That’s important.
A coach can challenge you.
Prepare you.
Help you see the field.
And believe in you like crazy.
But when the moment comes?
You’re the one who has to take the shot.
That’s why my goal isn’t for you to leave coaching dependent on me.
It’s for you to leave knowing yourself better.
Trusting yourself more.
Making clearer decisions.
Following through more consistently.
And carrying those things into whatever comes next.
